I have come to realize...

I have come to realize that:
all men no matter how strong they look whine when not feeling well.
I have come to realize that:
The children you expect the least problems with usually surprise you with the most.
I have come to realize that:
you can teach your kids your values but that doesn't mean they will follow them as they get to be adults.
I have come to realize that:
Once your kids are adults -or at least the legal age of adulthood- you can not control their decisions nor correct their mistakes.
I've learned a lot in the past two days. Rob whines - he had surgery on his hands and though he won't let me help him do things he whines when he hurts himself doing things.
My kids surprise me a lot but the one that I thought would be the hardest to handle seems to be the one I have the least problems with and the one that actually is doing what he has always dreamt of doing. My gripe is over but I'll continue on with this story in the very near future...

crazy life

this past week as been a whirl wind of things. besides both nick and allies cars breaking down and then Robbie's- i also had to work and do school work while playing with the babies and being both a wife, house keeper and full time cook.

rob is suppose to cook dinner on Tuesdays and Thursdays. he is a brilliant cook and can make something wonderful out of anything left in the refrid. however his idea of cooking is ordering pizza from papa john's or some other local place.
heather comes twice a week to clean. yes i pay her she isn't a slave... she does a wonderful job but with Daniel due soon she won't be able to keep it up much longer.

nick and Allie are here now- in separate rooms of course. nick seems to be holding up really good and it doesn't seem to bug him much that he had to move home because of his bleeding problems. of course he hasn't bleed since he left his job... however he now needs a new set of dishes because they fell out of the back of bud's truck and no one stopped to see if they could be saved.

Robbie is having fun in Richmond and will be traveling all over soon to perform. we talk to each other at least once a day... in fact his cell phone has a habit of calling here even if he doesn't know it is doing it... scary but true.

the babies were here over night Friday and stayed until Saturday afternoon. Audrey is being potty trained and wet all over robs new recliner... thank God it is scotch guarded and i scrubbed the chair clean... rob sat on the wet but clean seat several times prior to it drying. at least it was a clean seat...

bekah is a little devil... she is into everything and laughs when she is caught. then she takes off running down the hall when she knows you want to get her... and boy can she eat... she hears the refrid.. open and comes running. today she stood at the cookie jar with her arms up crying for cookies. she did say papa today... rob was thrilled.

oh well until later, Sherri

one really crazy life...

This is by far one of my favorite pictures... Kinda gives one that safe feeling

Nick and Rob at a local car show... Of course they are smiling they are looking at cars

This is Allie.. She's Nicks new girlfriend - well actually she isn't that New... I think she's a keeper..

This have been a little crazy here...
Robbie signed a contract with Theater IV and is now living in Richmond. He gets to travel all over the east coast and perform in the school system. He has the leading role as John Smith in Pocahontas. He's excited about doing it and he's really good a children's plays so I'm sure he is going to be excellent... I'm glad he's moving to Richmond- it's a lot closer then Vegas...
Heather is getting big... Daniel is due November 16Th but i doubt if she will make it... The girls are getting big. Audrey is two and bekah is one... Heather and I took them to Richmond to see mom-mom, pop-pop, Jes, and Jon last week end. Audrey kept signing their names over and over all the way there. bekah (who was sitting behind me) kept saying "ga-ga" and every time I said "what" she'd laugh and do it again.. Yes, ALL THE WAY FROM THE OUTER BANKS TO RICHMOND... it was cute the first couple of hundred times...
Nick is moving back to the beach... Raleigh is not what he thought it would be and he would rather be closer to home. Allie is coming with him and hopefully they will soon get married. the only hold up is her mom is in a nursing home and can't make a trip to attend the wedding so they are trying to figure out how to get the wedding to her - she lives in Delaware. Yes I realize they are young but I'd rather they marry then live together and they know how I feel about the situation. We will see...
Rob is working his butt off... Thank God.. He has surgery on his right hand to finish getting all the cancer they found off. He kept putting off the surgery so I just scheduled it and told him he was going. It's better to have it taken off now then lose a hand later. But he's a "man" so he doesn't think anything will happen.. That's why he has me- to make him do all the unfun things he has to do...
I'm back in school hence why i haven't written sooner.. I love the classes. I'm taking "teaching and studying the Bible" and "Bible ministry" now.. I am learning so much but they are such busy classes. I actually have to make lesson plans for the entire book of Philippians. Yes, i know it's only four chapters but it's not what I thought it would be... But I love doing it and it's all good.
So life goes on and I will try to write more often... there is always something here to write about.. our lives would make a great sit com.... take this last week end for instance: heather and i went to Richmond, on the way back I told her how nice it would be to be able to relax after church on Sunday. no sooner were those words out of my mouth when my cell phone rang and it was rob telling me "nick and allies cars both broke and we had to go to Raleigh in the morning", okay so we went, fixed the cars, went to Nicks doctors appointment, and came home. On our way home Robbie called to say his car broke down in Richmond and could we come and fix it. So the next morning we hit the road drove to Richmond and fixed his car. I drove so much in the last four days that i could have been to key west and enjoyed the sun, sand, and fun... Oh well they say things come in three so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
