Inspiration and gifts from God

This is by far one of my most favorite pictures. You see my daughter and son in laws- Pastor of music and his wife delivered a tiny baby girl about 15 weeks early. This family is remarkable and their story can be found at:
http://cfhusband.blogspot.com/2008/02/laundry.html

Tricia (mother to baby Gwyneth and wife to Nathan) is fighting her own battle with cystic fibrosis. Her strength is amazing and her courage is outstanding. Tricia is on the waiting list for a double lung transplant at Duke. Baby Gwyneth is in NICU. Nathan spends his time between his two girls and taking care of their adorable pug.

Please pray for this amazing family and visit their site to learn more about them, premature births, CF, and of course the power of God...

My daddy...

This is a picture of my daddy (last spring when all he wanted to do was fish and actually felt well enough to do it)... If ever you prayed before in your life PLEASE do it now... He has been fighting Cancer since the early 2000's. He's beaten it twice but now he is having problems with fluid retention. He's in the ER as I write this and I am sitting on pins and needles waiting to hear anything about his current condition. So like I asked: please include him in your prayers... Thanks, Sherri

Smiles, Tattoos, Princess' and Eggs

Bekah and her evil "I didn't do it grin" Bekah is all full of smiles. She is the only baby that I know that smiles even through teething pain. She is sitting up on by herself and laughs all the time. She is my little brown eyed beauty queen...
Nicks been tagged.
Nick came home the other day asking to be factored. I wasn't sure why because he wasn't bleeding or not that I could see. He was tattooed - it could be worse- it's a cross with forgiven written across it. Okay, I'm over it- I factored him and I'm getting use to the tattoo. After all it could be a naked lady- I'll take a cross any day...

latest of Princess Heather
For all of you who haven't seen the family princess lately- here is my heather : )
Audrey and Rob Cooking breakfast
Audrey and Bekah spent the night with us last week-end. Audrey 'talked' Rob into making her a 'pokey egg' for breakfast. Then she decided to 'help' him cook breakfast.. It was amazing to watch Rob cook an egg and explain in details to Audrey how to "flip the egg without breaking the yoke" then he taught her how to use her toast to eat the yoke with. He sent her into the livingroom after breakfast and before I looked at her I asked if she was wiped off and cleaned up.
Rob: yes, I wiped her face and hands. Do you think I would let her run around with egg all over her face?
me: great thanks for cleaning her up.
Rob then went outside and Audrey brought me a book. Her right side of her face and chin were covered in yellow egg yolk. About this time Robert came back in.
Me: did you say you wiped her face off
Rob: yeah why?
Me: take a look at her up close.
Rob: Oh I must have messed a spot or two. I'll get you the baby wipes...
Men you got to love them - you go to jail if you kill them...

Aligator Hunter

While on vacation Rob transfered into the "aligator hunter" while I got to stay at the house and study, do school work, write papers, and take exams. He has always said he "wants to see real aligators, up close, and not in a cage. Great if you want to be in a Happy Gilmore or Peter Pan movie.
After noticing he was gone for hours and I had not heard from him here is how a cell phone conversation between us would go (of course I called him- he's a man):
Me: Are you having fun yet?

Rob: Are you done studying? These gators are huge. You can find them everywhere.

Me: do you have all your limbs?

Rob: Yes, but I've never seen gators this big.

Me: did you get close to them?

Rob: do I still have all my limbs?

He saw some men wrestling with a gator to re-locate to another area- homeowners didn't want it as a back yard pet. After they duct taped it's mouth and tied it up, Rob went closer for a 'better look'

Gator men: You can come closer and look if you want

Rob moving closer to take a look at the gator.

Gator men: You can touch him if you want.

Rob: I know duct tape and I'm not getting that close

The gator was huge 10 feet.

Oh yeah Rob did come home with all his limbs- much to my joy....

Robert's birthday

Okay so my dear sweet husband turned 46 on January 30th. I planned a trip to Florida and a day cruise to the Bahama's as his present. This time of year he gets really cold and starts a "I want to move to Florida" kick- so I (who loves the change in seasons) always plan a vacation there so he realizes (once his bones are warm again) that in reality he doesn't want to move there- just visit each winter... We spent a week there (at his sister Debbie's house, who we thank dearly ), saw his mom and brother, and took our day cruise.

Alcohol overflowed on the boat- at 8:00 am I was asked if "I wanted a Bahama mama"

I told the bartender I hadn't eatten breakfast yet

he laughed and stated "why not drink it instead"

needless to say I passed. Rob and I went into the casino and watched a very wasted guy lose $4000 in ten minutes gambling... Wow what I could have done with that money : )

My brilliant sister Jes, summed it up in one sentence, "So you took the expensive drunk bus to the Bahama's". Needless to say she was correct... Got to love her wisdom!!!

Rob and I on the beach in the Bahamas

Robert doing what he loves most- catch and release

You know my favorite saying, well here is proof!

Rob full of joy on boat- give him a boat and see him smile : )

Mom when she threatened to kill Robert for taking her picture...

Evil party planning sisters enjoying their bounty (with Lauren and Hoagie)My kids waiting and praying for the dinner bell to ring (Buddy-with his head down leading the prayer, Heather, Sam (Bud's little sister), Bekah, Robbie and, Audrey.

my sister is brilliant

My sister Jes, came up with the idea to give my mom a 70th birthday party. Mom is cool yet neither of us knew how to tell her once the invites were sent and the food was bought that, 'yes, she had to attend'. Jes asked our Dad about it and he only said, "she is going to kill you". You see we planned this party for almost a year and yet no one knew about it until the time came to tell. Our mom would have and did even try to say she wasn't coming. The party was great. Mom only threatened to kill my husband Robert once- he took her picture. All in all it was great food, great company, and mom knows how great we think she is : )

Bekah the faker

Bekah is almost 7 months- she is a day shy. She already knows how to play the 'ga-ga game'. I went to visit them yesterday and was playing with Audrey. Bekah started to 'cry' so I went to see what was wrong and the child laughed at me. 7 months old and she knew if she made believe she was crying I would come... I can't wait to see her in a few years when she wants my attention- she already knows how to play the game- gotta love the brown eyed beauty queen.

Funny things Audrey does

Audrey is 20 months old now but acts like she's 20 years. We had her a Wally world the other night picking out valentines gifts. She had to have 'Mrs. potato head' until she saw a monkey that could whistle. Mrs potato head hit the floor and monkey was then hugged and kissed and held close. We went to the card department and she saw a green St. Patricks day hat that she wanted to wear. Being the 'ga-ga' that I am- I put it on her. What a mistake- next thing I know she is covered in green glitter- her hands, her hair, face and clothes. I took the hat off her - she cried- we replaced it with a baseball cap and she proceeded to wipe her hands on my shirt the rest of our visit to wally world. "yucky " was all she kept saying :)
